A clock with a world beside it
A bubbling cauldron or a moonlit graveyard gives your bedside display a seasonal mood. The scene fills the clock tile, with rounded numerals on a translucent glass-style plate in the upper part of the artwork. A soft highlight and rim keep the time readable while the foreground characters stay visible below. The Jubs StandBy preview illustrates this layout using Jubs artwork. Its sample time is 9:41; the app’s clock shows your current local time in your device’s format.
StandBy widgets and Apple’s clock view
StandBy has different views. Jubs clocks belong in the widget view, where you choose widgets from installed apps. They do not replace Apple’s separate full-screen clock styles. This distinction matters when choosing where you want your Halloween scene to appear.
Made for the bedside, or a little desk companion
Use a festive clock when your iPhone is charging beside your bed or resting on your desk. For a scene that stays among your apps instead, explore animated Home Screen widgets. The Halloween collection shows the six worlds that start Jubs.
Getting your iPhone ready for StandBy
You’ll need an iPhone and software version that support StandBy. Charge the iPhone, lock it, and place it on its side. Once Jubs is available and installed, choose its clock in the StandBy widget gallery. Our StandBy setup guide explains the widget view and display behavior.
Before you choose your clock
Will the display stay on all night?
Display behavior depends on your iPhone and settings. A Jubs widget does not add Always-On support to a phone that lacks it. Check your device’s StandBy options before relying on it as an overnight display.
Can I use the Christmas scenes?
The Christmas collection is still in development. Its artwork is a preview, and is not an available StandBy clock pack.
Is there a Mac version?
Mac desktop widgets are planned. This page focuses on iPhone StandBy clocks; Mac availability will be announced when ready.
